PA UC Money Network card to bank transfer times - still waiting after 4 days?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out how long I should expect to wait for my money to show up in my bank account after transferring from my PA UC Money Network card. I initiated a transfer of $790 from my card to my personal checking account on Friday morning (around 9am), and it's now Tuesday afternoon and still nothing showing up. Is this normal? The card website said something about 1-3 business days, but I'm getting nervous because rent is due soon. Does anyone have experience with how long these transfers usually take? Should I be worried at this point or just keep waiting?

It typically takes 2-3 business days for transfers from the Money Network card to hit your bank account. So if you did it Friday morning, you should see it by end of day today (Tuesday) or tomorrow morning at the latest. Remember that weekends don't count as business days. I've done several transfers and they've always shown up within that timeframe. If you don't see it by Thursday, then I'd call the Money Network customer service number on the back of your card.

•Thanks! That makes me feel better. I'll give it until Thursday morning before I start making calls.

•Good point - I'm with PNC. Has anyone transferred to PNC specifically? Do they take longer than other banks?

I transfer to PNC regularly from my Money Network card. It's consistently 3 business days almost to the hour. So Friday morning transfer should hit your account Wednesday morning. If you transferred after the daily cutoff time (usually around 2pm), then it might not process until the next business day, which would push your deposit to Thursday.

•That's super helpful, thank you! I definitely did it before 2pm on Friday, so hopefully tomorrow morning I'll see it. Fingers crossed!

•This is actually good advice. If you recently received a new card, sometimes there can be issues with the first few transfers. The system might need to update your new card information. But 6-7 days is definitely excessive - I would have called after day 4.

Have you tried calling the number on the back of your card? When I had an issue with a delayed transfer, I spent two days trying to call PA UC directly and kept getting busy signals or disconnected. Eventually I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me actually get through to a human being at UC. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. I was skeptical at first but it actually worked and I got my transfer issue resolved in one call. Might be worth trying if you end up needing to talk to someone about your transfer.

•You should always call the Money Network customer service first for card issues, not the UC service center. The UC reps usually just redirect you to Money Network anyway for transfer problems. Save yourself the extra step.

I always just do direct deposit now insted of the card transfers. way easier you just set it up once in your UC portal and then all payments go right to your bank no need to keep doing transfers every 2 weeks

•I didn't even know that was an option! Is it complicated to switch from the card to direct deposit? I still have at least 4 months of benefits left on my claim and that would be so much easier.

•It's very easy to switch. Log into your PA UC dashboard, go to 'Payment Information' and select 'Update Payment Type.' You'll need your bank account number and routing number ready. The change usually takes effect for your next payment. This is definitely the way to go if you have months of benefits left.

UPDATE: My money showed up in my account this morning (Wednesday) - right around the 3 business day mark like many of you said. Thanks for all the advice! I'm definitely switching to direct deposit so I don't have to deal with this again.

•Great news! And yes, direct deposit is much more convenient. Just a heads up - when you switch, there might be a 1-2 week transition period where things are processing. Some people get confused when their payment doesn't show up right away after making the change. Just be patient during the switch.

Glad everything worked out for you! Just wanted to add that if you do switch to direct deposit, make sure your bank account info is 100% correct when you enter it. I made a typo in my routing number once and it delayed my payment by almost two weeks while they sorted it out. Double and triple check those numbers before submitting the change!

•This is such good advice! I actually work at a bank and see this mistake all the time. People mix up their account number and routing number, or they accidentally include extra digits. It's worth getting a voided check or calling your bank to confirm the exact numbers before you submit the direct deposit form. A simple typo can cause weeks of headaches when you're already stressed about money.
