I'm also struggling with getting my back pay from Ohio unemployment. Has anyone had success actually getting through using those phone shortcuts? I've been trying for weeks to reach someone about payments I should have received months ago. The online system shows my were approved but I never received the money. Any other tips or has anyone found a different approach that works?
I'm in the same boat - been waiting on back pay for months! The phone shortcuts help a little but you still have to be super persistent. What worked for me was calling right at 8am when they open and using the shortcut from Tom's video. Also try calling on Tuesday or Wednesday - seems like Mondays and Fridays are the worst. Another thing that helped was documenting everything - screenshot your approved claims, keep records of when you called, etc. Have you tried reaching out to your state representative's office? Sometimes they can help escalate these cases. Hang in there, it's frustrating but people are eventually getting their money!
