When does unemployment pay you - NYS Department of Labor payment schedule confusion
I just got approved for unemployment benefits after being laid off from my restaurant job last month. My claim finally went through but I'm confused about when the actual payments show up. I filed my first weekly claim on Sunday but my checking account is still empty. Does anyone know when does unemployment pay you after you certify? Is it the same day or do I have to wait until the next week? I really need to know because rent is due Friday and I'm counting on this money.

i think mine usually hits on tuesday when i file sunday but sometimes wednesday if theres a holiday or something
