I submitted my initial unemployment claim with NYS Department of Labor about 10 days ago and I'm still waiting to hear anything back. My claim status just says 'processing' and I haven't gotten any payments yet. I've been doing my weekly claims but nothing is showing up in my account. How long does it usually take to start receiving benefits once you file? I'm getting really stressed about bills coming up and need to know what to expect for timing.

mine took almost 4 weeks last year but that was because they had to verify my work history with my previous employer... if theres no issues it should be faster
