No approval or denial letter after 7 weeks - New York Unemployment
Filed a claim back in August and still waiting for any kind of decision letter. Been seven weeks now without hearing anything back. Phone lines are always jammed. Getting really worried about the wait time. Anyone else waiting this long for a decision?

yo i found a way to actually get someone on the phone finally. used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you then connects when someone picks up. costs $20 but worth every penny tbh https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

Former NY unemployment worker here. 7 weeks is definitely too long. They're supposed to make a determination within 3-4 weeks. You need to contact them ASAP because something might be wrong with your claim.

•Early morning right when they open, like 7:55am. Or try claimyr.com, heard good things about it lately

Here's what you need to do - this worked for me. First, double check your NY.gov account for any messages or requests for additional info. Sometimes they need more docs but the notice gets buried. Next, try reaching them through their social media, especially Twitter. If that doesn't work, use claimyr.com to get through on the phone - yeah it costs money but its better than waiting forever. Last resort is contacting your state representative's office. They can usually get things moving pretty quick. Don't give up!
