NY unemployment claim disappeared after holiday weekend - months of payments gone!

So Labor Day weekend 2025 my NY unemployment claim completely stopped working so I filed a new claim... I've been calling daily and complaining about it for WEEKS. Finally this Thursday someone called me back and said I would only need to file a new claim if I worked and made 10x more than my last job, and they promised they would release my payments from July through September 5th. Well, I checked my account online Friday and my WHOLE DAMN CLAIM WAS GONE!!!! I called immediately and this lady says she doesn't see my claim at all and had me do the weekly certification questions from July to September all over again... she said payments would be released next week and to keep calling them and making sure everything was good. Has this happened to anyone before? Because I'm about to snap on these people... I've waited MONTHS only to be screwed over and have to do this whole bs process all over again. This can't be legal, right?

This actually happened to me back in March. The system sometimes glitches after holiday weekends when there's high traffic on the website. The good news is that your claim isn't truly gone - it's still in their database, but there's a display issue with your account. What you need to do is call the NYSDOL technical support line (not the regular UI line) at 888-209-8124, then press 1 for English, then 6 for technical assistance. Explain that your claim disappeared from your online view but a representative confirmed it exists. They should be able to fix it within 2-3 business days.

Are you sure?? Because the lady literally had me recertify for EVERY WEEK since July! That doesn't sound like just a display issue. I'm so stressed I can barely function at this point.

I worked for NYSDOL for 5 years (left in 2024), and this is unfortunately a known issue with their aging system. When claims

Thank you!!! This makes way more sense than what the rep told me. I've been documenting everything because I don't trust them at all. So you really think the payments will come through after all this?

There's a good chance they will, but honestly, it might take another 2-3 weeks for everything to process correctly. The system has to reconcile the duplicate records, attach your new certifications to the correct claim, verify eligibility for each week, and then process the payments. It's frustratingly slow, but since you've been eligible this whole time, you should eventually receive all backdated payments. Just keep checking your payment history page daily.

This is why I HATE the unemployment system!!! It's designed to make people give up. They make it so complicated and frustrating that people just stop trying to get the benefits they DESERVE. Im still waiting on payments from MARCH and every time I call they give me different info. System is rigged against us!!

After reading your situation and seeing how you've been struggling with the system for months, I wanted to share something that worked for me when I had a similar issue last month. I was getting nowhere with regular calls and my claim had problems that basic representatives couldn't fix.\n\nI tried a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that helped me actually get through to a live agent without waiting for hours. They have this system that holds your place in line and calls you back when an agent is available. Saved me literally days of frustration. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE\n\nAfter I got through to an actual claims specialist (not just the first-level support), they fixed my disappeared claim within 48 hours and released all my back payments. Definitely worth looking into if you're still stuck in this loop next week.

I've never heard of that before. Does it actually work? I'm desperate at this point so I'll try anything but I'm worried about giving out more personal info.

It worked for me and a couple people in my job networking group. It just helps you skip the phone queue - you still talk directly with the actual unemployment office representatives. Once you get connected with a higher-level specialist, they can see your full claim history even if it's not showing on your end.

I'd like to clarify a few important points about your situation:\n\n1. When a claim

THANK YOU! This is exactly the kind of specific advice I needed. I didn't know to ask for a Tier 2 specialist. I've been accepting whoever they connect me with. I'll try calling right at 7:30 Monday morning and use the exact phrases you suggested.

Is anyone else getting error code E-4567 when they try to check payment history? Or just me?

That error usually means the system is detecting multiple claims under your SSN and doesn't know which payment history to display. It's related to the same system issue the original poster is experiencing. Try clearing your browser cache or using incognito mode - sometimes that helps bypass the error.

UPDATE: I finally got through this morning! Used the advice from this thread - called exactly at 7:30am and specifically asked for a Tier 2 specialist. Had to wait almost an hour, but finally spoke to someone who could actually see what happened. Apparently when I checked my account status over Labor Day weekend, it triggered some kind of automated review because of the holiday, and that caused my claim to go into \

That's awesome news!! So glad you got it fixed. But seriously, they need to fix their garbage system. Nobody should have to jump through all these hoops just to get benefits they're entitled to!!

Great news! For anyone else reading this thread with similar issues - notice how effective it was to specifically request a Tier 2 specialist who has database restoration permissions. Regular representatives often don't have the system access needed to fix these kinds of technical glitches. Always be polite but persistent about speaking with someone with higher-level system access.
