How long to get unemployment check after filing with NYS Department of Labor?
I submitted my initial unemployment claim with NYS Department of Labor last Tuesday and I'm wondering how long it typically takes to get the first check? My savings are running low and I need to know when I can expect payment. I completed all the required forms and uploaded my ID verification documents. The claim status just says 'under review' but doesn't give any timeframe. Has anyone received their first payment recently and can tell me what to expect?
