How long does it take for unemployment direct deposit to hit my bank account in NY?
Just got approved for unemployment benefits after waiting 2 weeks for adjudication. I set up direct deposit when I first filed my claim but I'm not sure how long it takes for the money to actually show up in my checking account. I submitted my weekly claim certification yesterday and it shows as processed on my.ny.gov but no deposit yet. Is this normal? Should I be worried that something went wrong with my banking info?

Usually takes 1-2 business days after your weekly claim gets processed. If you certified yesterday it might show up tomorrow or Wednesday depending on your bank

I had problems reaching someone at NYS Department of Labor when my direct deposit was delayed last month. Kept getting busy signals and disconnected calls. mine usually comes tuesday if i certify on sunday, depends on ur bank though. chase is pretty fast but i heard some credit unions take longer

I'm in a similar situation - just got approved after a long wait and submitted my first weekly certification two days ago. Still haven't seen the deposit but reading these responses is really reassuring. It sounds like 2-4 business days is totally normal. I bank with Wells Fargo so hoping to see it by end of week.
