If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Update: I was finally able to verify my CTC payments! Used that Claimyr service to get through to an IRS agent (only took about 15 minutes) and confirmed I received exactly $1,800 like I thought. Filed my taxes yesterday and already got the acceptance notification from the IRS. Thanks everyone for your help!

Great to hear! For anyone else in a similar situation, remember you can also access your tax records through the IRS online account system if you prefer not to call. You'll need to create an ID.me account first, which takes about 15-20 minutes to set up.

btw make sure u have ur proper wages handy when u apply. i messed up and had to send in like 3 months of paystubs cause i guessed wrong on my wages. total pain in the butt

Thanks everyone for all the info! I just submitted my application yesterday. It was actually easier than I expected. They asked about my reduced hours and I made sure to say it was due to lack of work (which is true). Now I'm just waiting for them to process it. Fingers crossed it goes through without issues!

Glad to hear you applied! Don't forget that once approved, you'll need to claim benefits (certify) every week, even if your claim is still pending. Make sure you report your exact hours and wages for each week. Good luck!

Thanks for the reminder! I've got a reminder set in my calendar to certify every Sunday. Really hoping this helps bridge the gap until my hours go back to normal.

my cousin said some1 told him there might be a new supplement coming but idk if thats true

0 coins

I haven't seen any reliable information about a new supplement program. Currently, there are no announced plans to replace the $300 federal supplement after it expires. It's best to plan based on only receiving your regular state unemployment benefit amount going forward.

When I lost my job last year I was so stressed about the benefits thing too. It's scary not knowing if you'll be able to pay bills! Hope you find a good job soon.

anybody know if they're still doing those extra $300 supplemental payments? my friend said he got one but i haven't seen anything about it on the website

The NY Supplemental Assistance Program is only available for claims filed before April 15, 2025. It was a temporary program and not everyone qualifies. There's information about it in the Benefits Handbook on the NYSDOL website.

FINAL UPDATE: My payment finally came through today! What worked was: 1) Clicking that verification button the former employee mentioned, and 2) I did end up using the Claimyr service yesterday which got me through to someone who could tell me exactly when to expect payment. Thanks everyone for your help - this community saved me so much stress!

congrats!!! im going to try that button thing right now

Great news! Glad you got it resolved. For anyone else reading this thread in the future, always make sure to click that verification button after uploading documents - it's a step many people miss.

my cousin works for nysdol. says theres a HUGE backlog right now of reapplications. theyre like 3 weeks behind in processing. its not just you!!!

0 coins

I don't think that's accurate. I reapplied just last week and my payments started immediately. It's more likely there's something specific with the OP's claim that requires review. Not everyone experiences delays.

maybe ur right but thats what my cousin told me and she LITERALLY works there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at NYSDOL! Used that Claimyr service mentioned above and got connected in about 25 minutes after trying for over a week on my own with no luck. The agent told me my claim had a "verification hold" because I had worked for 3 different employers during my previous benefit year. They needed to manually review those wages even though I had reported everything correctly each week. The good news is she removed the hold right away, and my payments should process overnight! She also said I'll receive all the back payments for the weeks I certified. Such a relief! Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.

This is great news! It's always something specific like this that causes the holdup. Glad you got it resolved and will be receiving your backpay. For anyone else reading this in the future - this is why getting an actual person on the phone is so important with these issues.
