MDDOL True ID verification for unemployment: Help needed with process

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with True ID verification for my unemployment account. Has anyone else gone through this process? I got a notice about it but I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be really appreciated!

Update: I tried uploading my documents but keep getting an error. Anyone else run into this?

Try using a different browser or clearing your cache. That worked for me!

Make sure your files aren't too large. They have a size limit.

Thanks for the tips! I'll give those a try and report back.

Check if there are any special characters in the file name, that sometimes causes issues too.

Has anyone else had their account flagged after doing the True ID verification? I'm worried about getting stuck in limbo 😰

Yep, happened to me. Took about 3 weeks to get it sorted out. Keep calling and checking your portal!

Ugh, 3 weeks? I can't afford to wait that long. This is so stressful.

Check if there are any specific errors in your account. Sometimes it might be just a simple documentation issue.

I'm in the same boat rn. Been trying to verify for 2 weeks now. This system is so broken 😤

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes talking to a rep can speed things up.

Lol good luck getting through on the phone. I've been trying for days!

Try calling early in the morning, around 8 AM. I noticed less wait times then.

Am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get the benefits we're entitled to? The system is designed to make us give up, I swear 🤬

Preach! 👏 It's like they want us to fail.

I get the frustration, but they're just trying to prevent fraud. It sucks, but it's necessary.

I agree, it's frustrating, but identity theft is a real issue, and these measures are in place for our protection.

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with the online verification, some DMV offices are offering in-person True ID verification. Might be worth checking if any near you do this!

OMG thank you for this! I'm gonna check it out. The online stuff is driving me crazy 😵‍💫

Just be prepared for a long wait. I tried this and was at the DMV for 4 hours. Still faster than waiting on the phone tho lol

I think I'll give this a shot. Maybe bring a book or something to pass the time.

True ID verification can be tricky, but it's important to be patient and persistent. The process is part of an effort to combat fraud and protect both users and the integrity of unemployment funds. Make sure you have clear and accurate documentation, and follow up with any discrepancies you might notice in your unemployment portal. When technology fails, sometimes old-fashioned solutions like visiting an office in-person can help, even though it might take longer than expected. Remember to take care of yourself emotionally during this stressful time, and consider reaching out for support if you're feeling overwhelmed.

Hey guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/byIb7Q_Uvzw

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked! Got through to a rep in about an hour.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 🤡

I get it, but for me it was worth it. I was spending hours trying to get through on my own. Time is money, ya know?

Claimyr sounds like a useful service for those who can afford it, but it's not accessible for everyone. They should consider offering a lower-cost or free option.

Does anyone know if theres a way to check the status of your True ID verification? I submitted everything a week ago and haven't heard anything back.

Royal_GM_Mark

You should be able to see the status in your unemployment portal. Look for a section called "Identity Verification" or something similar.

Here's a detailed guide on how to complete the True ID verification process: 1. Gather your documents: - Government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) - Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, etc. from the last 90 days) - Social Security card or document showing your full SSN 2. Go to the True ID verification portal (should be in the notice you received) 3. Create an account if you haven't already 4. Follow the prompts to upload clear, legible photos of your documents 5. Complete any additional steps they ask for (sometimes they'll ask for a selfie) 6. Submit your verification and wait for approval Tips: - Make sure your name and address match exactly on all documents - If you're having trouble, try using a different browser or device - Keep checking your email and unemployment portal for updates Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed guide! It's really helpful. Quick question - does the utility bill need to be a paper copy or is a PDF okay?

PDF is fine! Just make sure it's clear and shows your full name and address.

Ugh, True ID is such a pain! I had to do it last month. Make sure you have a valid government-issued ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement. You'll need to upload clear photos of these documents.

Thanks for the info! Do you remember how long it took for them to verify everything?

0 coins

-

Mia Roberts

It took about a week for me, but I've heard it can vary. Some people get verified in a few days, others wait weeks. Hang in there!

I went through a similar situation, it took nearly two weeks for mine to get verified. Try not to stress too much!

I swear, dealing with unemployment is a full-time job in itself. How are we supposed to look for work when we're spending all our time trying to navigate this bureaucratic nightmare? 🙃

-

Chris King

Mood. I've spent more time on hold with EDD than I have applying for jobs this week 😂😭

For real tho. Maybe we should put "Professional EDD Navigator" on our resumes lol

Lmao that's not a bad idea. At least we're developing some serious patience and problem-solving skills 😅
