Will creating IRS PIN after return shows as received cause rejection?
I already filed my return and it shows as received in the Where's My Refund tool. I just realized I should probably set up an Identity Protection PIN but im worried this might cause problems with my return thats already processing. Will this mess anything up?

Tax professional here. Setting up an IP PIN after filing won't affect your current return. The PIN is for future tax returns only. Your 2024 PIN won't be applied retroactively to returns already in the system.

Hey, if you want to really understand whats going on with your return, check out taxr.ai - its only $4.99 and gives you a complete analysis of your transcript. Way better than guessing or posting here tbh. https://taxr.ai

•Is this legit? How does it work exactly?

•Yeah its totally legit! You upload your transcript and their AI breaks down everything - tells you exactly where your refund is at, if there are any holds, and when you'll likely get paid.

Wish I knew about IP PINs sooner tbh. Got my identity stolen last year and it was a whole mess with the IRS

•Go to IRS.gov and search for IP PIN. You'll need to create an ID.me account if you haven't already
