Which Tax Software Gives Biggest Refund? TurboTax vs H&R Block vs Others [2025 Filing]
Been doing my taxes for years but want to maximize my refund this time around. Used TurboTax last year but the fees were insane. Looking at H&R Block now but not sure if theres better options out there. Anyone compare different services and get drastically different refund amounts? Need real feedback before I commit.

Tax preparer here - the refund amount should technically be the same across all platforms if you input everything correctly. The difference is usually in the user interface and how well they guide you through deductions and credits. FreeTaxUSA is probably the best value - same results as TurboTax but way cheaper.

Hey, before you file with any service, you should check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your previous transcripts to make sure you're not missing any credits or deductions. It's only $4.99 and could save you hundreds. I found out I missed a credit from 2023 using it! https://taxr.ai

•Yeah! You just upload your transcript and it uses AI to analyze everything. It shows you all possible credits/deductions and explains why you qualify. Super helpful for catching stuff you might miss.

Been using TaxAct for the past 3 years and honestly it's been solid. Way cheaper than TurboTax (like $25 vs $120+) and I've never had issues with accuracy. The interface isn't as flashy but it gets the job done. Also has good customer support if you get stuck on something. Might be worth adding to your comparison list!
