What does IRS Cycle Code ending in 3 mean for 2024? Different from last year?
Just checked my transcript and noticed my cycle code ends in 03. Pretty sure this meant something different during last years tax season. Anyone know what this means for 2024 processing times?

For 2024, cycle codes ending in 03 typically indicate a weekly processing schedule. Your account updates will happen Thursday nights/Friday mornings. This is different from daily cycle codes (05, 06, etc). The IRS changed some processing patterns this year.

Pro tip: these codes really matter for processing speed. 03 cycles are usually faster this year becuz they batch process them. Source: worked at tax office
