What do IRS Transcript Codes 766 and 768 mean? Need help understanding

I've been looking at my transcript and I see codes 766 and 768 but I have no idea what they mean. Can someone explain these to me? Starting to get worried because its been weeks since these showed up.

Tax expert here! Code 766 refers to credit to your account and 768 is earned income credit. These are generally good signs - they mean the IRS has processed these credits for your return. However, seeing these codes doesn't necessarily mean your refund is coming immediately.

So does this mean im getting closer to getting my refund? 🙏

Yes, but the timeline can still vary. Keep an eye out for code 846 - that's your actual refund issued date.

Have you tried taxr.ai? It's literally a game changer for understanding these codes. I was confused af about all these numbers but the AI broke it down perfectly and even predicted my refund date! It's only $4.99 and worth every penny tbh https://taxr.ai

100% legit! They use bank-level encryption and don't store your data. I was skeptical too but it saved me hours of googling random codes lol

its actually pretty simple - 766 = money coming to you, 768 = earned income credit approved. but when u get paid? thats the real mystery lol
