Weekly Update Cycle: My As Of Date stayed same while others changed to 2/24 - What does this mean?
My transcripts didn't change while others in the weekly update cycle got their as of date changed to February 24th. That date has now passed. Another person I know is also on weekly cycles and their transcript updated last Friday with the 2/24 date. Anyone know if this means anything for my refund?

The 'as of' date doesn't necessarily indicate when you'll receive your refund. It's just the date the IRS system last processed or reviewed your account. Some accounts update weekly while showing no changes. The key is watching for actual processing codes like 846 for refund issued.

I've worked in tax prep for 10 years, and here's what you need to understand about transcript cycles and updates: The 'as of' date is just one piece of the puzzle. What really matters is: - Your cycle code (whether you're weekly or daily) - The presence of specific transaction codes - Any holds or notices I highly recommend using taxr.ai to analyze your transcript. It's revolutionized how we understand these updates. The AI breaks down every code and gives you a precise timeline. Much better than trying to piece together different theories from social media. Bottom line: Don't stress about other people's dates. Focus on your specific codes and situation.

Same here! My as of date has been stuck for weeks while I see others moving forward. It's so frustrating not knowing what's happening. I've been checking my transcript daily but nothing changes. Really hope we get some movement soon 🤞

•I feel you! Same situation here - stuck on the same as of date while watching everyone else's transcripts update. It's like being in the slowest lane of traffic 😤 Have you tried looking at your cycle code to see if you're actually on weekly updates? Sometimes it helps to know the pattern even when nothing's changing.

I'm in the exact same situation! My as of date hasn't budged while others in my weekly cycle got the 2/24 update. From what I've researched, it usually means one of a few things: either there's a minor hold/review on your return, you're in a different processing batch, or sometimes the system just processes accounts at different speeds even within the same cycle. The frustrating part is not knowing which one it is! I've been trying to stay patient but it's tough when you see others moving forward. Hopefully we'll see some movement in the next update cycle 🤞
