Transcript shows PATH update - should I be worried or excited?
My transcript just updated and now shows path act message. I file early every year with the same dependants, nothing tricky. Reading online and seeing mixed info about whether a path message is good or bad? Some people saying its delayed others saying its about to be released soon fr?

PATH Act message is actually a good sign! It means your return is being processed and includes refundable credits (like EITC or ACTC). The IRS is required by law to hold these refunds until mid-February. Most PATH Act returns start releasing around Feb 15th, with deposits hitting accounts between Feb 20-27th. Keep watching your transcript for an 846 code - that's your deposit date.

Same here! Filed Jan 27th and just got the PATH message today. From what I've read, it's actually a good thing - means they're processing it and we should see movement mid-February. The waiting is the worst part though! At least we know it's moving through the system 🤞
