Tax Advocate waited months to tell me I need to amend return after 60-day review expired

Tax advocate here - this happens more often than you think. The review teams are backed up and sometimes they don't catch these issues until way later. Best thing to do now is file that amendment ASAP. The sooner you submit it, the sooner you can get back in line for processing.
