Reached out to Congressman about 2023 refund hold - anyone have success with this?
Finally contacted my congressman about my 2023 refund being held up. Getting tired of checking WMR everyday and seeing no movement. Has anyone gone this route and got results? Filed in February and nothing but crickets since then.

Congressional inquiries can definitely help speed things up. I work with these cases regularly, and while it's not a guaranteed fix, having a congressman's office involved often gets the IRS to prioritize reviewing your case. Usually takes 2-3 weeks to see movement after they reach out.

My congressman actually helped! took about 3 weeks but they found out I had a verification issue that needed to be cleared. Got my refund 2 weeks after that.
