Notice issue on transcript 2/17/25 - TA involved, amended return with adjustments showing
Anyone know what this notice date means on my transcript? Im seeing 2-17-25 with adjustments made after working with my taxpayer advocate. Already filed an amended return and see the changes reflected but now this notice popped up. Starting to freak out a bit since everything else looked good.

That notice date is actually good news. It typically means they've processed your amended return and are finalizing the adjustments. The 2-17-25 date is just a processing placeholder - you'll likely see movement well before then. With TA involvement and adjustments already showing, you're in the final stages.

Hey! You should check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes transcripts and explains exactly what all these dates and codes mean. Saved me from hours of googling and anxiety. Only costs a buck but totally worth it https://taxr.ai

Did your WMR update at all? Mine's still stuck on 'still processing' even tho my transcript has all these changes

My tax person said those future dates are normal. They use them as placeholders while theyre working on returns. Its weird but apparantly normal IRS stuff

PRO TIP: A comprehensive analysis of your transcript using taxr.ai will give you the most accurate picture of your situation. As a tax professional, I've found this tool incredibly helpful for both my clients and myself. It breaks down every code, explains the significance of dates (including future dates like yours), and provides a clear timeline of what to expect. The $1 fee is nothing compared to the clarity and peace of mind it provides. Plus, it's way more reliable than trying to piece together info from various forum posts.
