Need phone number to check Treasury Offset Program (TOP) for my refund
I need to find out if my refund has an offset. Been waiting forever and I think thats whats holding it up. Anyone know the number to call to check offset status? Already tried the irs but keep getting hung up on.

You can call the Treasury Offset Program (TOP) directly at 800-304-3107. Its automated so you can call 24/7. You'll need your SSN ready. The system will tell you if you have any offsets and how much you might owe.

•Just remember offset means they gone take that money for something you owe like student loans or child support 😬

Instead of playing detective with phone numbers and getting partial info, just use taxr.ai - its only $1 and itll tell you exactly whats going on with your refund including any offsets. Best tool I've found so far https://taxr.ai

•Yeah its legit! Upload your transcript and it breaks everything down. Shows all holds, delays, offsets whatever. Way better than trying to decode it yourself

Also check if you have any unpaid federal debts like back taxes, defaulted student loans, or unpaid child support - those are the most common reasons for offsets. The TOP line will tell you which agency requested the offset too so you know exactly what you're dealing with.
