Need clarification: Transcript shows refund issued date - is that deposit date or send date?
My transcripts finally updated and shows a refund issued date. Im wondering if thats the actual date the money hits my account or just when they start processing it to send to me? Been waiting forever and dont wanna get my hopes up if its gonna take even longer

The 'issued date' on your transcript is when the IRS releases the refund. Typically, it takes 1-5 business days after this date for the money to show up in your account, depending on your bank. Direct deposits usually come faster than paper checks. The good news is once you see that issued date, you're in the final stretch!

hey if you want a super accurate timeline download your transcript and put it into taxr.ai - it costs like a dollar but it'll tell you exactly what day itll hit your account based on your bank and everything. saved me from checking my account 100 times a day lol https://taxr.ai

•Sounds interesting. How exactly does it work? Does it just read your transcript or does it do more?

•it analyzes everything in your transcript and gives you a custom timeline. it caught stuff i didnt even notice like potential delays and told me exactly how to fix them. way better than trying to decode everything yourself

Welcome to the waiting game! 😅 Just to add to what others said - the issued date is definitely when they release it, but your bank matters a lot. I've seen people with the same issued date get their money on different days. If you're really anxious about timing, you can also call your bank and ask about their ACH processing schedule. Some banks process deposits overnight, others wait until business hours. Hang in there, you're almost done!

•This is super helpful! I never thought about calling my bank to ask about their ACH schedule. That's actually a really smart tip - might save me from constantly refreshing my account balance 😂 Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Just went through this same situation last week! The issued date on your transcript is when the IRS actually sends the money out, not when it hits your account. For me it was exactly 3 business days from issued date to seeing it in my checking account (Bank of America). The waiting is definitely the hardest part but once you see that issued date you're basically home free! 🎉
