Does cycle date on IRS transcript show refund deposit date?

Been checking my transcripts everyday and noticed the cycle date. Does anyone know if thats when the refund is supposed to hit my account? Starting to get really frustrated with this whole process tbh

The cycle date on your transcript is not your refund date. It's actually just an internal processing code that shows when your return was processed in the IRS system. The actual deposit date will show up as a future date under the 846 code when your refund is approved.

ugh that makes sense but also really frustrating. where do you see the 846 code?

It'll be listed in the transactions section of your transcript once your refund is approved. If you don't see it yet, your return is still processing.

Hey guys instead of trying to decode these transcripts like we're solving a mystery novel, I started using taxr.ai and it literally explains everything. Its only $1 and saved me hours of research. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

100% legit! Just upload your transcript and it breaks down everything - tells you exactly where your refund is at and when to expect it. Way better than guessing

Pro tip: Look for code 846 with a future date. Thats your actual refund date. The cycle date is just IRS internal processing stuff
