Need IRS Direct Verification Phone Number - Can't Get Through Regular Line
Been trying to call the IRS main number for weeks but keep getting disconnected. Does anyone have the direct number for verification department? The automated system keeps sending me in circles and I'm getting desperate.

The IRS verification department number is 800-830-5084. Call between 7am-7pm local time. Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open for shortest wait times. Keep in mind you'll need your prior year AGI and filing status ready.
