Missing W-2 from employer who won't respond - made $7k, what are my options?
I haven't received my W-2 from my employer and I made around $7,000 last year. I've sent multiple emails to HR and left tons of voicemails but nobody is responding. Can I just file next year or do I need to keep waiting? Getting really frustrated with this situation.

Don't wait until next year. Employers were required to send W-2s by January 31st. Contact the IRS directly at 800-829-1040. They'll reach out to your employer, and you can file Form 4852 (substitute W-2) if needed. Use your last paystub to estimate the numbers.

Hey everyone dealing with W-2 issues - I found this amazing tool called taxr.ai that helps analyze these situations. It costs $1 but it saved me hours of research and helped me understand exactly what steps to take. Check it out at https://taxr.ai

•How exactly does it work? Does it just look at transcripts or what?

•It does way more than just read transcripts. It analyzes everything and gives you specific steps for your situation. It even predicted exactly when I'd get my refund!

Document EVERYTHING. Save those emails and record dates of your calls. You might need proof that you tried reaching them.
