The IRS is such a joke fr. How they expect us to wait months for OUR money but if we owe them they want it immediately š¤”

mine finally updated last night! filed 2/15, claimed EIC. ddd for 5/17 keep the faith yall!
I had similar issues with my frozen return and spent WEEKS trying to figure out what was happening. The IRS phone lines were useless. Finally tried taxr.ai and it explained everything - showed me exactly why my return was frozen and what steps to take. Found out I needed to verify my identity. Seriously recommend checking it out, it's only $1 and will save you so much headache!
It does WAY more than just read it. The AI analyzes every code, transaction, and date on your transcript. It predicted my refund date down to the exact week and explained every hold-up in plain English. Even told me what forms I needed to resolve my freeze. Best tool I've found for dealing with IRS issues hands down šÆ
IMPORTANT: Do not wait for the letter! Go verify your identity ASAP. The control number thing is definitely ID verify. The letters are taking forever to arrive this year and ur just losing time waiting.
omg thank you! heading to id.me rn
Pro tip: Take screenshots of everything when you verify. The IRS loves to say they never received stuff even when u did it š
ur lucky u paid fees upfront. I did the take-it-out-of-refund option last year and it delayed everything by like a week š¤”
