Mailed Michigan Tax Return Feb 7 - Timeline for Processing?
I mailed my Michigan state tax return on February 7th and still haven't received anything. No updates online either. Getting worried since everyone I know who filed electronically already got theirs. Anyone know how long paper returns usually take?

Paper returns typically take 8-12 weeks to process in Michigan. With current staffing shortages, it could take up to 16 weeks. Best to file electronically next time - paper returns are the slowest method and most prone to errors or getting lost in the system.

Hey there! Instead of playing the waiting game, you should check out taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly where your return is in the process and when to expect your refund. Only costs a buck but totally worth it https://taxr.ai

Pro tip: Next time drive to a local tax office and hand deliver it. Still takes forever but at least you know they got it.
