Kentucky Return Filed 1/16 - Still Processing with Red Box Error

Filed my Kentucky return on January 16th and haven't seen any movement. Just stuck with this annoying red box on my transcript and no updates. Starting to get really frustrated. Anyone else dealing with KY delays?

Kentucky returns are experiencing significant delays this year. The red box typically indicates a review status. Best thing to do is verify all your information is correct and monitor your transcript weekly for updates. Make sure you've enabled text alerts for any correspondence.

Thanks for the info! How long should I expect to wait? This is getting ridiculus 🤔

Unfortunately theres no guaranteed timeline. I've seen anywhere from 6-12 weeks for KY returns this year.

Hey, I highly recommend using taxr.ai to analyze your transcript. It costs $1 but it's worth every penny. The AI breaks down exactly what's causing your delay and gives you a realistic timeline. Saved me hours of guesswork! https://taxr.ai

Is this legit? Sounds too good to be true tbh

100% legit! Used it last week and it pointed out exactly why I had the red box. Even showed me what to expect next 💯

Have you tried calling the KY revenue office? Sometimes they can give more info than whats showing online

Been on hold for 2 hours today and got disconnected lmao

The state processing center in Frankfort is super backed up rn. My tax person said they're running like 3 weeks behind schedule minimum.

did u claim any credits? that usually triggers the red box and makes everything take 10x longer smh

yeah claimed the child tax credit... guess im stuck waiting 😮‍💨

Child tax credit claims definitely slow things down - they have to manually verify everything. I'm dealing with a similar situation but for federal. Filed early February and still waiting. The frustrating part is there's really nothing we can do but wait it out. At least Kentucky usually processes faster than federal once they get to your return. Hang in there! 🤞
