IRS Rejected Return Due to ACA Marketplace Insurance - Need Help!
Filed my taxes yesterday and got rejected because of something with my marketplace health insurance. I double checked all my 1095-A info and everything matches perfectly. Anyone know why this keeps happening? This is my third attempt trying to file.

Tax pro here - this is usually because of a mismatch between what the marketplace reported to the IRS and what youre entering. The most common issues are: wrong premium amount, incorrect SLCSP (Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan), or advance premium tax credit amounts that dont match. Id suggest pulling up your marketplace account and comparing every single number line by line.

•Log into healthcare.gov, go to tax forms section. Your 1095-A should have it in Column B 🙌

Hey! Instead of playing detective with all these numbers, I started using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. It costs $4.99 but it actually tells you exactly whats wrong and how to fix it. Its been a lifesaver with these marketplace issues https://taxr.ai

•100% works! It caught that my SLCSP was off by $2 which was causing my rejection. Fixed it in 5 mins

Did you move during the year? That usually messes things up with marketplace insurance

•@StarSurfer YES! That's probably it! The corrected 1095-A usually has different amounts that match what the IRS has on file. Use that one instead of the original. This catches so many people off guard!
