IRS Identity Verification Phone Number and Required Info?
Need to verify my identity with the IRS for my refund. Anyone know the direct number to call and what documents/info I should have ready when I call? Been trying 1040 but keep getting disconnected.

The IRS verification line is 800-830-5084. Have your Social Security number, prior year AGI, and current return info ready. They'll also ask for info from your ID like DL number and issue date. Best times to call are early morning right when they open (7am EST) or later afternoon around 6pm EST when call volume drops.
