How long for IRS Identity Verification PIN to arrive in mail? Still waiting after 2 weeks
Filed my taxes and got a letter saying I need to verify my identity. Went through the ID verify process online but they said they had to mail me a PIN. Been waiting for 2 weeks now and nothing in my mailbox. Starting to get worried. Anyone know the typical wait time for these verification PINs?

The Identity Verification PIN typically takes 7-10 business days to arrive by mail. If it's been more than 2 weeks, you should call the Identity Verification hotline at 800-830-5084. Sometimes the PIN letters get lost in the mail, and they can help you request a new one.
