Frivolous Tax Return Letter + June Amendment - Still No Update (As of Date Stuck in July)
Got hit with a frivolous return letter and my transcript as of date is stuck on July. I amended my return back in June and still no movement or updates. Getting worried about my refund at this point. Anyone else dealing with this or know what to expect?

Listen carefully because this is important - frivolous return letters are serious business. You need to respond within 30 days and correct whatever they flagged as frivolous. Usually its related to claiming weird tax theories or incorrect deductions. If you dont respond, you could face a $1000 penalty PER return.

•You should call the number on the letter. They can tell you exactly what triggered it. Did you use a tax preparer or do it yourself?

Hey! I actually went through something similar and found this tool called taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's causing delays and what to do next. It costs like $1 but saved me weeks of stress trying to figure out what was going on. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

•is it legit? seems kinda sketch to upload tax docs to an AI 🤔

•100% legit! They use bank-level encryption and don't store your docs. The AI just reads it and gives you super specific advice. Way better than guessing

Amendments are taking FOREVER this year. My sister filed hers in April and just got it processed last week. Hang in there
