I FINALLY got the 846 code for 2/24!!! šš After fighting with the IRS for what feels like FOREVER on my investment income issues, seeing that beautiful 846 code made my whole month! The wait was driving me absolutely crazy but persistence pays off! Anyone else celebrating their refund dates this week? š°šø

I wouldn't necessarily count on that February 24th date as a guarantee, though it's probably accurate. In my experience, sometimes the deposit comes a day earlier, sometimes exactly on the date, and occasionally a day or two later depending on your bank's processing.

Did you get any specific reason for the 570 code? I had investment income too and got delayed, but once they verified everything it moved pretty quickly to 846.

If you have investment income like I did with 22 stock sales, they sometimes hold for exactly 21 days for verification even with the 846 code. My experience shows most banks post within 24-36 hours after the IRS releases funds. Keep checking your account on 2/24 and possibly 2/25.

Got my 846 code yesterday too. According to the IRS refund schedule on https://www.irs.gov/refunds, direct deposits are issued on Wednesdays for codes generated between Friday-Thursday of the previous week. My experience matches this exactly. Last year I received my deposit exactly on the date shown in the 846 code. This year I'm expecting the same. The IRS has improved their processing times significantly in 2024.
