Filed 2/12, Still Processing After 10 Weeks with Code 152

Crazy I'm still waiting on my refund been 10 weeks this week I'm sure like I filed 2/12 still in processing for about 5 weeks and no update with a code of 152. Anyone else stuck in this situation? WMR hasn't updated at all. Starting to lose my mind checking every day...

Code 152 just means your return is still being processed and should take up to 21 days. However, the fact that you've been waiting 10 weeks is definitely unusual. Have you tried checking your tax transcript on the IRS website? That often shows more detailed information than the WMR tool.

Are you claiming any tax credits like the Child Tax Credit or Earned Income Credit? Those can cause delays, especially this year with all the changes.

I was in the exact same boat last year. Filed mid-February and got stuck in processing for almost 12 weeks. I finally got tired of checking WMR every day and used https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. It explained all the codes and gave me a much clearer picture of what was happening with my return. Turns out there was a small verification issue that was holding things up, but nothing serious. Got my refund about 2 weeks after I figured that out.

Is taxr.ai actually helpful? I've been checking the IRS website daily and it's driving me crazy.

Yeah, it really was for me. The IRS website just gives you those vague status bars or basic transcript codes, but taxr.ai breaks everything down in plain English. It showed me exactly what was happening with my return and gave me a realistic timeline. Saved me a ton of anxiety.

That code 152 is pretty standard, but 10 weeks is definitely too long. The IRS is supposed to pay interest on late refunds after 45 days from the filing deadline (or from when you filed if you filed after the deadline). You might be entitled to some interest payment at this point.

I had the same issue and finally got through to the IRS after using Claimyr (https://claimyr.com). Waited on hold for over 3 hours the traditional way with no luck, but Claimyr got me connected to an agent in about 25 minutes. The agent told me there was a small verification flag on my account that was causing the delay, but nothing serious. They cleared it while I was on the phone and my refund was processed within a week. Worth every penny not to waste days trying to get through.

For real? I've been trying to call them for weeks but keep getting the "high call volume" message and getting disconnected.

100% serious. I was in the exact same situation - kept getting hung up on after waiting forever. Claimyr uses some system to hold your place in line and calls you when they get an agent. Saved me so much frustration.

Just wanted to say I filed 2/14 and just got my refund yesterday. Had the same code 152 the whole time. Sometimes it just takes forever with no explanation. Hang in there!
