FINALLY got my 2022 refund after 18 months - don't lose hope!
After waiting 18 months I finally got my refund! Filed February 2022 and it's been nothing but delays and silence. No help from phone calls, tax advocate, or my congressman. Then this morning I woke up to a deposit in my account! If you're still waiting, hang in there - miracles do happen!

Congratulations! This is exactly what can happen. The IRS is currently processing a huge backlog of returns, and while the wait times are frustrating, they are working through them. Your deposit showing up without any prior notice is actually quite common.
