CP05 Notice: Does 'credit to account' with interest calculation mean refund is finally approved?
I got the CP05 notice a while back and finally called the IRS number to check my transcript. When I listened to it they had interest calculated and mentioned 'credit to your account' with a specific date. Anyone know if this means theyre finally done with the review and my refund is coming?

Tax pro here - A credit to account with interest calculation usually means the review is complete, but it's not a 100% guarantee. The system typically processes these within 2-3 weeks after that status appears. Keep checking your transcript for an 846 code which is the actual refund issued date.
