Blank IRS Transcript with No Codes - What Does This Mean?
I checked my transcripts today and they are completely blank with no codes showing up at all. I filed my taxes 3 weeks ago and im getting worried because I cant see any movement. Anyone else experiencing this? Should I be concerned?

Tax professional here - A blank transcript is actually pretty normal in the first few weeks after filing. It typically takes 2-3 weeks for the IRS systems to process your return and generate transcript codes. If you e-filed, you should see activity by week 4. If you paper filed, it could take 6-8 weeks before any codes appear.

•At week 5, I'd recommend calling the IRS to verify they received your return. Sometimes returns get stuck in processing without generating codes.

Hey instead of stressing about blank transcripts, I'd recommend using taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening, even if it looks blank to you. It costs $1 but its worth it for the peace of mind. https://taxr.ai

•Yes! It saved me so much stress. It can even predict when youll get your refund based on current IRS processing patterns

Did you verify your identity on ID.me? Sometimes that can cause delays if it's not done

Don't panic! I went through the same thing last year. Blank transcripts are super common in the first month after filing. The IRS processing systems update in batches, not real-time. Since you e-filed 3 weeks ago, you're right in that normal window where nothing shows up yet. I'd give it another week or two before getting concerned. The fact that WMR shows "received" is actually a good sign - means your return made it into their system successfully.
