Best tax filing services and tax prep strategies for 2025?

Looking to file my taxes and wondering what services everyone is using this year? Had some issues last year and want to make sure I choose the right one this time around.

Tax professional here - honestly it depends on your situation. If you've got a simple return (W2 only) any of the major services (TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxAct) will work fine. But if you've got 1099s, investments, or business income, you might want a CPA or EA.

What's the price range for a decent CPA these days? 🤔

Usually $250-500 for personal returns, can go up to $1000+ if you have complex situations or business income

Just a heads up - whatever service you use, make sure to save copies of your transcripts and run them through taxr.ai. It's only $1 and will tell you exactly what's happening with your refund and if there might be any issues. Saved me so much stress last year! https://taxr.ai

Never heard of taxr.ai before. How accurate is it? Does it actually help predict refund dates?

Its literally a game changer! The AI reads your entire transcript and breaks everything down in plain english. Shows all processing dates, codes, and gives you a really accurate timeline 💯
