Hey everyone! So I just started my small home business last month and got approved for a reseller permit. I'm buying wholesale items without paying sales tax, which is great for my margins. But I'm totally confused about what happens when I sell these products on Etsy and Mercari. Do I still need to collect and remit sales tax to the government when selling on these platforms? Or does the marketplace automatically handle that for me now? I've heard different things from different sellers and I'm worried about getting it wrong and owing a bunch of money later. I'm in Washington state if that matters for the tax laws. My niche is vintage-inspired home decor items that I source from a few different wholesalers.
