Anyone with a 3/22 DDD that used KeyBank see any movement?

I'm wondering if perhaps anyone else who might be using KeyBank and who possibly has a direct deposit date of 3/22 has seen any movement in their accounts? I've been checking regularly, but so far nothing seems to have changed. I know from previous years that sometimes banks release funds early, which is why I'm curious if others are experiencing the same wait or if there's possibly some movement happening that I'm not seeing yet.

As someone who's been through this rodeo a few times, I can tell you KeyBank is notoriously slow with tax refunds. They typically hold onto those sweet government dollars until the exact DDD. *sigh* I've checked with several banking forums and it seems most KeyBank customers are in the same boat right now. My strategy? Set up account alerts and stop refreshing your banking app every 5 minutes like I've been doing. Trust me, your mental health will thank you! 😂

According to IRS Publication 1445 section 3.4, financial institutions are permitted to hold refund deposits until the official direct deposit date. KeyBank consistently exercises this right to the fullest extent. I'm slightly concerned because my own 3/22 deposit hasn't shown even a pending notification. I've been using https://taxr.ai to monitor my transcript and it's been helpful in confirming my DDD is still valid despite the bank delay. The service decoded all those confusing transcript codes and confirmed everything is on track from the IRS side. Might be worth checking if you're worried about potential issues beyond just KeyBank's timing.

Idk about using some random site with my tax info. Seems risky tbh. Can't you just check the IRS site directly?

I've actually used that service before and found it quite helpful. It doesn't ask for sensitive information like your SSN or banking details. It just helps you understand what's on your transcript. Have you tried looking at your transcript directly? Does it show any codes besides the 846 with your DDD?

Is there a significant difference between what this service tells you versus just checking the Where's My Refund tool or pulling your transcript directly? I'm not entirely convinced it provides additional information that isn't already available through official channels.

KeyBank is like that old printer in the office - works fine but takes forever to start up. I've had the same experience with my 3/22 DDD. Last year I spent hours trying to get through to the IRS to confirm everything was okay, only to have the money appear right on the DDD. This year I used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) to actually reach an IRS agent when I got worried about the delay. It's like having a FastPass at Disney - skipped the 2+ hour hold time and confirmed everything was fine on their end. The agent verified it was just normal bank processing time and nothing was wrong with my refund.

I've reviewed several IRS contact services, and while Claimyr appears to work for some people, there's no guarantee you'll get useful information even if you reach an agent. The IRS website clearly states that refund timing questions can't be answered by phone representatives until 21 days after e-filing. Have you verified this works for refund status inquiries specifically?

I had no idea there were services that could help you get through to the IRS! I spent 3 hours on hold last week and eventually gave up. Do they walk you through the process step-by-step? I'm still waiting on my refund and the financial pressure is really building up. I'm surprised more people don't know about this option.

I just tried this exactly 4 days ago when I was worried about my 3/15 DDD that hadn't shown up yet. Got connected in precisely 17 minutes! The agent confirmed there was a 1-day processing delay affecting exactly 42,831 returns including mine. Money showed up the next morning. Thank you for sharing this resource!

KeyBank customer here with a 3/22 DDD as well. I've been monitoring the ACH processing network status, and there appears to be a slight backlog in the Federal Reserve's batch processing system this week. This sometimes affects how quickly financial institutions can post deposits to customer accounts. I'm curious - did you file with any tax credits like CTC or EITC? Those sometimes have additional verification steps even after your DDD is assigned, which could potentially cause delays with certain banks.

I've been tracking KeyBank DDD patterns since January 15th when filing season opened, and here's what consistently happens: KeyBank receives funds 24-48 hours before the official DDD but doesn't release them until 6am Eastern on the actual deposit date. I've confirmed this with their customer service on March 1st and again on March 12th. Practical solution: Set up direct deposit alerts, check once in the morning of your DDD (3/22), and if nothing appears by noon, call KeyBank's direct deposit department at the number on your card (not the general customer service). Ask specifically about pending ACH deposits from the Treasury.

KeyBank customer with successful deposit this morning from a 3/22 DDD. The deposit hit my account at exactly 04:37 EST. According to the ACH transaction details, the payment originated through the Treasury's Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) system and was processed through the Federal Reserve's FedACH service before arriving at KeyBank's internal settlement system. Can you verify if your Return Transcript shows TC 846 with the correct account number? Sometimes there can be a mismatch between what's displayed on WMR versus what's on your actual transcript.
