Anyone getting ID Verify letters for 2024 filing season? Had to verify last year
Just finished my taxes and wondering if ID verification is happening again this year. Got hit with it last year and it delayed my refund by 3 months. Anyone else getting those letters yet? Don't wanna be stuck waiting forever again.

ID verification is still happening this year but they've streamlined the process. If you verified last year successfully, you likely won't need to do it again unless there are significant changes to your filing situation. The IRS is being more selective with who needs to verify to reduce unnecessary delays.
