If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I... might be in the same boat. I'm not entirely sure if I received that payment or not, but I did claim it on my return. Now I have those same codes and I'm nervously waiting. I've heard that sometimes these adjustments can happen pretty quickly, while other times they can drag on. I suppose it depends on how backlogged the IRS is at the moment.

Just wanted to share some good news - I had this EXACT situation last month! Claimed I didn't get the Child Tax Credit advance when I actually did. Got the 570/971 codes, received a notice about 10 days later explaining the adjustment, and then my transcript updated with a DDD exactly 14 days after the notice date. The refund hit my account right on schedule, just minus the amount I had incorrectly claimed. So hang in there - the system is actually working pretty efficiently for these types of adjustments!

Was your refund exactly $1,400 less than what you were expecting? I'm trying to calculate how much I'll actually get after they make the adjustment.

Did your Where's My Refund status change directly from "Still Processing" to showing a deposit date, or did it go through the "Approved" stage first? The technical progression should be Return Received → Return Approved → Refund Sent, but sometimes the IRS system updates all at once, skipping the middle stage in the user interface.

Have you tried checking your tax transcript instead of WMR? Isn't that supposed to be more accurate and detailed? I've been checking WMR for weeks with no updates, but when I finally checked my transcript online, it already showed my refund was processed. Why doesn't the IRS sync these systems better?

I've been filing taxes for 20+ years and never knew about checking transcripts until last year! Always just used WMR and wondered why it was so vague. Transcripts show everything - adjustments, holds, verification codes. Last year my WMR showed nothing but my transcript had all the info I needed.

Transcript access is definitely more informative than WMR. Here's what to look for: • Code 150: Return filed • Code 570: Processing hold • Code 971: Notice issued • Code 846: Refund issued The cycle code (last 2 digits) tells you which processing cycle you're in. 05 cycles update on Thursdays/Fridays, 02 cycles update on Mondays/Tuesdays.

This happened to me last month. The hold was because I claimed Child Tax Credit and they were just verifying my kids' info. The letter just asked me to confirm some information. I sent it back right away and got my refund about 2 weeks later. It's annoying but at least they're processing them eventually.

Same boat here. Filed January 20th, accepted same day, and got the same call about a hold. My letter arrived yesterday (took 16 days, not the 14 they promised šŸ™„). It's asking me to verify my identity through ID.me or by calling them. Hoping this speeds things up because I need this money for car repairs.

Let me know how long it takes after you verify! Hope you get yours soon

Will do! The agent I spoke with said it should be about 9 business days after verification, but we'll see if they actually stick to that timeline.

Have you checked your transcript online? That's usually more informative than WMR. If you're seeing any codes like 570/971, you might want to understand what they mean. I used https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript last week when I was confused about some weird codes. It explained everything in plain English and gave me an estimated deposit date that turned out to be spot on. As a small business owner myself, I know how frustrating it is when you're counting on that money for equipment purchases.

The IRS transcript page says my 2023 return transcript is not available. Does that mean they haven't started processing it yet, or could there be another reason? I'm wondering if taxr.ai would work in my situation or if I need to wait until there's actually a transcript to analyze.

If your transcript isn't available yet, that usually means they haven't fully processed your return in the system. Once processing begins in earnest, you'll see the transcript appear with various codes. That's when tools like that become helpful for deciphering what stage you're at.

I'm in almost the identical situation. Filed 1/22, accepted 1/28, still nothing. Meanwhile my sister who filed on 2/15 already got her refund last week. The processing order seems completely random this year compared to previous tax seasons when it was more first-come-first-served. I've noticed that people with simple W-2 only returns seem to be getting processed faster than those of us with any kind of business income or deductions, even if we filed earlier.

I've dealt with the IRS for both personal and small business taxes for years, and I've found a completely different approach works better than calling before the 21-day mark. Compared to calling, these methods are much more effective: 1. Set up an online account at IRS.gov and check your transcript directly (this shows more than the WMR tool) 2. Use the "Where's My Refund" tool, but check only once per day (it updates overnight) 3. Check your bank account for pending deposits rather than relying on IRS status updates This is similar to tracking a package - calling the delivery company rarely gives you better information than the online tracking system. The phone representatives are looking at the same systems you can access yourself, just with slightly different views.

I've been researching how the IRS phone system works, and I'm curious about a few things: • Are you calling the general 1040 number or one of the specialized lines? • What specific information were you hoping to get before the 21-day mark? • Did you file with any special credits like EITC or CTC? • Have you checked if your return falls under PATH Act delays? The IRS processing system has these distinct phases: • Initial acceptance (what most people see in WMR) • Security review (invisible to taxpayers) • Processing verification (where most delays happen) • Final approval (when transcript updates) • Funding (when refund is scheduled) Each phase has different visibility to phone representatives, which explains the inconsistent experiences people report.
