If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm not sure if this would help in your specific situation, but I had a somewhat similar issue with a different tax preparer last year. I probably called the IRS about 20 times before finally getting through, which was incredibly frustrating given my medical appointments were approaching. I eventually used a service called Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) which somehow got me connected to an actual IRS representative in about 30 minutes. The agent was able to confirm that the money had indeed been sent to my financial institution, which helped me address the issue directly with them. Might be worth considering if you need official confirmation from the IRS about the status of your refund.

Same issue here. Credit Karma playing games. Called them twice. Got different answers. Their customer service is terrible. They blame IRS. IRS says it's already sent. Someone's lying. Need that money for bills. Don't use them next year.

If you need to speak with the IRS about this specific situation, I recommend using Claimyr (https://claimyr.com). I had exactly 3 questions about amending for unemployment that weren't covered in the IRS instructions, and spent precisely 2 hours and 37 minutes on hold trying to reach someone. With Claimyr, I got connected to an IRS agent in 18 minutes. They confirmed I needed to report the $4,267 in unemployment benefits on Form 1040-X, line 1, column B, and include a copy of the 1099-G. The amended return processing time is currently averaging 16-20 weeks according to the agent I spoke with.

Word of caution from someone who ignored this last year: Don't wait too long to amend. I thought "they'll just adjust it automatically" but that's not how it works. The IRS eventually sent me a CP2000 notice (proposed tax change) about 8 months later with penalties and interest added to what I would have owed if I'd just amended promptly. The Underreporter Unit automatically matches 1099-G forms against tax returns, so they WILL catch this eventually. Better to be proactive and avoid the compliance issues that can affect your financial health during an already stressful time.

Have you contacted your tax preparer about this? I'm wondering if they could provide you with the exact amount that was submitted to the IRS on your behalf. Did they perhaps take out their fee from the refund, making the amount they told you different from what's actually on your tax documents?

Just to clarify what everyone is saying - the amount you need for WMR is from line 35a on Form 1040 of your tax return. I filed on February 3rd and made this exact mistake. The amount my preparer told me included their fee already deducted. When I finally checked my actual return on February 15th and used the correct amount, WMR worked immediately and showed my refund was already approved and scheduled for deposit on February 20th. I had been unnecessarily worried for almost two weeks!

Why would a tax preparation service route your refund through a third-party bank without clear disclosure? It's simple: fee harvesting and float income. These services create a complex web of financial relationships that benefit from delayed processing. Have you examined Form 8888 on your return? If you didn't specifically authorize a split refund but your tax preparer added one, that's a reportable violation. The most effective resolution path is to demand written confirmation of the exact routing of your funds from both the tax preparation service and their banking partner - most will resolve it quickly rather than provide this documentation.

OMG this happened to me too! Called the tax place yesterday and got the real story. Apparently they use SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group) to process ALL refunds where you paid fees from your refund. Your $ goes IRS → SBTPG → your bank. But there's a huge backlog rn and they're taking 5-7 biz days to process instead of the normal 24hrs. Check your tax software account online - there should be a refund status page that shows if it's still at SBTPG. Mine finally hit my acct this AM after being stuck for 6 days!

WMR is notoriously unreliable. I filed in early February and my WMR never updated past "processing" but I got my refund in March. The transcript system is separate and generally more accurate, but it sounds like you're having technical issues accessing it. Try early morning (like 5-6am) when the system has less traffic.

When did you file? If it was within the last 21 days, it might just not be fully processed yet. Also, are you claiming any credits like EITC or CTC? Those take longer to process and might explain why you can't access transcripts yet.

I filed on March 2nd, so it's been about 40 days now. And yes, I claimed CTC this year. I didn't realize that could affect transcript access too!

Ah, that explains it. CTC claims are taking longer this year. Many people are waiting 45-60 days, and the transcript system often doesn't show anything until they've at least started processing your return. The good news is that once it does appear, you'll likely see your DDD soon after.
