2025 Tax Return: Unusually Long Acceptance Delay (3+ Days) - Anyone Else?
Filed my taxes and its taking way longer than usual for the irs to accept. normally get accepted in 1-2 days but now im on day 3 with no acceptance. starting to get worried since this has never happened before. anyone else experiencing longer acceptance times this year?

The IRS is experiencing higher than normal processing delays this year due to new fraud detection systems. While 24-48 hours was standard in previous years, 3-5 days is becoming more common in 2025. As long as you filed correctly, there's no need to worry yet.

Check if you claimed EIC or CTC - those usually take longer to process due to extra verification steps

I'm on day 5 now and finally got accepted this morning! So there's definitely hope for everyone still waiting. The new fraud detection systems Isabella mentioned seem to be the culprit - my CPA said they're seeing 4-6 day acceptance times as the new normal for 2025. Hang in there!
