2024 Tax Return Still Processing - Transcripts Blank After 22 Days - IRS Delays?
Filed my taxes on Jan 29th and my transcripts are still completely blank. WMR just says processing and no tax topic. Called the IRS and they just told me to wait 21 days but its been 22 days now. Is anyone else experiencing delays or blank transcripts? Starting to get worried since I need this money for bills.

The IRS is definitely experiencing some delays this season. Blank transcripts usually mean they haven't started processing your return yet. This is actually pretty normal for early filers, especially with the new tax law changes. Keep checking every Thursday morning when transcripts typically update.

•thanks for explaining! do you know how long it usually takes for them to start processing early filers?

•Usually 2-4 weeks, but I've seen some take up to 6 weeks this year. The path act and earned income credit can slow things down too.

Hey guys! I was in the same boat and was going crazy trying to figure out what was happening. I found this tool called taxr.ai that analyzes your transcripts and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. It costs $1 but totally worth it. Here's the link: https://taxr.ai

•Yes! It showed me I had a verification hold I didn't even know about. Saved me weeks of wondering!

The IRS is such a joke. How tf they expect us to wait months for OUR money while bills pile up. System is broken af 🤡

Tax pro here. This tax season has been particularly challenging due to several factors: - New tax law implementations - Early EITC claims being heavily scrutinized - System updates causing processing delays - Higher than normal early filing volume I've been recommending taxr.ai to all my clients this year - it's been a game changer for understanding exactly where returns are in the process and identifying potential holds. Much better than trying to decode transcript codes manually. Keep checking your transcripts weekly and watch for any notices in the mail. If you don't see movement by week 6, then you might want to contact Taxpayer Advocate Service.
