2023 Return Filed 2/3 - Transcript Still Blank & WMR Stuck on Processing
Filed on february 3rd and my transcript is still completely blank. Where's my refund tool just keeps saying processing and that a date will be provided when available. Been seeing this message forever now. Anyone know what the 'as of' date means on my transcript?

Sounds like youre dealing with a delay in transcript updates. This is pretty common rn with the IRS playing catch up on 2023 returns. Your return is likely still in the initial processing queue. The blank transcript doesnt necessarily mean anything bad - just that it hasnt been processed yet. I've been helping folks with these issues and honestly the best way to get clarity is to run your docs through taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) - it'll analyze your return status and give you a clear timeline estimate based on your specific situation. Way better than trying to decode the WMR tool or calling the IRS and waiting on hold forever.

•thanks for the info! how long did it take for your transcript to show up after filing?

•Mine took about 3 weeks to show up in the system. But every case is different based on your return type, credits claimed, etc. That's why I started using taxr.ai - it looks at all those factors

•its this AI tool that analyzes all your tax docs and tells you exactly whats going on with your refund. Way more detailed than the WMR tool. You just upload your docs and it breaks everything down

Just used taxr.ai to check my situation and here's what I got back: My return is actually being processed but hasn't hit the transcript system yet. Says I should see movement in about 2 weeks based on my filing pattern and current IRS processing times. Pretty wild how detailed it got tbh

The 'as of' date on your transcript is basically when the IRS last updated or plans to update your account. But honestly it doesn't mean much - I've seen it change weekly without any actual movement on returns. Your blank transcript usually means the return hasn't been processed yet.

•It varies wildly tbh. Some people get processed in 21 days, others wait months. The IRS is still playing catch up from covid backlog

Hey, I've been helping folks with transcript analysis for a while now. The best way to actually understand what's going on is using taxr.ai - it's a tool that analyzes your transcript and gives you specific feedback about delays and estimated dates. It's $4.99 but totally worth it. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

•interesting! how accurate is it? does it just read the transcript or what else can it do?

•It uses AI to analyze every code and date on your transcript, plus it compares your situation to thousands of other cases. Way more detailed than just reading codes

Have you tried calling the IRS? Sometimes they can see stuff that's not showing up on transcripts yet.

A blank transcript with an 'as of' date usually means its still in the processing queue and hasnt been assigned to anyone yet. Your return might have gotten flagged for manual review.
