DEO CONNECT crashed during benefit reapplication - no confirmation received

So frustrated right now! I was completing my benefit year reapplication on CONNECT since my regular UI exhausted yesterday. I filled out all the questionnaires, but when I clicked submit on the final page, it kicked me back to the main login screen without any confirmation. I have no idea if my application actually went through or if it's completely lost. Is anyone else having technical issues with the CONNECT system today? How can I verify if my reapplication was recorded in the system? I really need these benefits to continue and I'm worried I'll have to start the whole process over again.

same thing happened to me last week!! the deo website is garbage. try logging back in after an hour, sometimes your claim information will update and show that it went through. or it might show up under your "pending issues" tab

Thanks for responding. I tried logging back in twice but still don't see anything under pending issues. Will try again later tonight. Did yours eventually show up?

This is actually a fairly common issue with the CONNECT system during benefit year transitions. When your original claim exhausts, the system can sometimes have trouble processing the continuation application due to database verification delays. Here's what you should do: 1. Wait 24 hours and check your CONNECT inbox for any messages 2. Look under the "Determination, Pending Issue and Decision Summary" section for any new items 3. Check if your claim status shows as "Active" or "Pending" under Claim Status and Summary If after 24 hours you don't see any updates, you should immediately submit a new application. The system rarely loses data completely, but the processing can get stuck in their verification queue.

Thank you! This is really helpful. I'll check all those sections tomorrow and follow your advice if nothing shows up.

OMG I'm so nervous about this exact thing happening to me. My benefits end next week and I need to reapply. Did you save screenshots of anything you entered? I'm going to take pictures of every screen just in case. The DEO system is so glitchy and I'm terrified of having to wait weeks for them to fix something if it breaks during my application!!!

I really wish I had taken screenshots now! That's a smart idea. I was in such a hurry to get it done that I didn't think about the system crashing. Definitely document everything when you do yours.

After working with the DEO system for years, I can tell you this happens fairly regularly during reapplications. The most reliable way to check if your application went through is to call DEO directly at 1-833-FL-APPLY. However, as you probably know, getting through to a live agent can take hours of redialing. I recently discovered Claimyr (claimyr.com) which helped me get through to a DEO agent in about 20 minutes instead of spending days trying to get past the busy signals. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj In your specific situation with a reapplication after exhaustion, you definitely want confirmation that it was processed correctly to avoid payment gaps. Speaking to an agent is the only way to get immediate verification rather than waiting to see if it appears in your account.

Thanks for the tip! I've been calling all morning with no luck getting through. I'll check out that service - at this point I just need to talk to someone to make sure my reapplication didn't disappear into the void.

I had something similar happen but with the work search form thing not the whole application. Mine eventually showed up after like 5 hours so maybe just wait a bit? The CONNECT system is super slow to update sometimes.

The CONNECT system is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE and has been since they launched it years ago!! I've had THREE different issues with reapplications in the past year. They spend MILLIONS on this system and it can't even process a simple form without crashing. The worst part is you can't even get help when it breaks! You call and call and get disconnected or wait on hold for 4+ hours only to have some clueless person tell you they "don't know what happened" to your application. If nothing shows up tomorrow, be prepared for weeks of fighting with them. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING and take screenshots of EVERY PAGE from now on. The burden is always on us to prove we did everything right even when THEIR system fails!!

UPDATE: I checked with a few colleagues, and there have been several reports of CONNECT system slowdowns today. This is likely due to monthly maintenance which typically happens during the first week of each month. For benefit year transitions specifically, the data can take up to 48 hours to appear in your account, even though the submission was successful. If you received no error message when you submitted, that's actually a good sign - error messages appear immediately when there's a problem with the application. I suggest waiting until Thursday before taking any further action. If nothing appears by then, you should contact DEO directly for assistance.

Thank you so much for the update! That makes me feel better knowing it might just be a system-wide slowdown. I'll give it until Thursday as you suggested.

btw when mine finally showed up after the crash it was under a weird tab i never noticed before. something like "continued claims" or "redeterminations" - not the regular place. so check ALL the tabs when u log in

UPDATE: I finally got through to DEO after using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. The agent confirmed my application DID go through despite the crash! She said it was flagged for "manual review" because the system crashed during submission, but all my information was saved. It should be processed within 5-7 business days. For anyone else having this issue - definitely try to speak with an agent rather than just waiting and hoping. Such a relief to know I don't have to start over!

That's such good news! I'm glad you finally got an answer. I'm definitely going to be careful when I do mine next week!

Good to hear, but ridiculous you had to use a third-party service just to get basic information about YOUR OWN CLAIM from a government agency! The whole system needs to be overhauled.
