I remember when I was on unemployment during the pandemic they would send these kinds of letters all the time. One week they'd say I owed money, next week they'd say nevermind. The whole system is just outdated and confusing. Glad you don't actually owe anything!
Same thing happened to me last month! Got a scary looking overpayment notice that made me panic, but when I actually read through it the balance was $0.00. Turns out they had to send the notice because their system flagged something from when I was working part-time while collecting benefits, but then they automatically applied the partial earnings offset rules and it zeroed out. The notice is just their way of documenting that they reviewed it and made the adjustment. Keep the paperwork but you shouldn't need to do anything else if it clearly shows $0 balance.
So glad you got it sorted out! This is exactly why I always tell people to check CONNECT at least twice a week even when they don't get emails. The system will sometimes add new requirements or questionnaires without sending any notification at all. I've seen people miss important deadlines because they were only logging in when they got emails. Also, pro tip: if you ever get another one of these vague "missing information" emails, take a screenshot of your entire CONNECT dashboard before you start clicking around - sometimes fixing one issue reveals another one, and it helps to have a record of what you saw initially. Hope your payment comes through on Wednesday!
This is such a perfect example of why we need this community! Victoria, I'm so glad you found the missing info and got it submitted - your experience is going to help so many other people who face the same confusing situation. For anyone else reading this thread, I want to emphasize what Jacob said about checking CONNECT regularly even without emails. I learned this the hard way when I missed a work search requirement update that was posted to my account with zero notification. Now I log in every Monday and Thursday just to scan for anything new. Also, if you're comfortable sharing, Victoria - when your payment does come through, it would be helpful to know how long the whole process took from when you submitted the missing info to when you actually received payment. That timeline info is really valuable for others going through the same thing!
This thread has been a lifesaver! I'm new here but dealing with the exact same issue right now - got that vague "missing information" email this morning and was panicking. Reading through everyone's responses gave me a clear roadmap of where to look. Just found my issue too - it was a fact-finding questionnaire about my availability for work that somehow appeared in my inbox without any notification. Victoria, thanks for sharing your experience and everyone else for the detailed advice about checking those specific sections. This community is amazing - wish I had found it sooner! Will definitely be checking CONNECT twice a week from now on like you all suggested.
To all those having trouble reaching a human at Florida Unemployment. I just ran across this video that gave me a shortcut to reach a human. Hope it helps! https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss
Not 3X" WBA typically means you'haven t earned at least 3 times your Weekly Benefit (Amount) WBA in wages during your base period. For Florida unemployment eligibility, you need to have earned wages totaling at least 3 times your calculated weekly benefit amount during the base (period usually the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters before you)filed . If'you re seeing this message, it might mean your wage history'doesn t meet this monetary requirement.'I d recommend calling DEO to review your wage records and clarify your specificsituation.
I'm going through this exact same nightmare right now! Filed my claim on March 28th and have been stuck in "pending" hell ever since. Like you, I've been calling constantly with no luck getting through to anyone who could tell me what was wrong. This thread is the first time I'm hearing about EmployFlorida registration being required - it's absolutely ridiculous that this isn't made crystal clear during the CONNECT application process. I'm heading to the EmployFlorida website right now to get registered and complete everything everyone mentioned (profile, resume, skills assessment, the works). Thank you so much for posting this - you probably just saved me weeks more of waiting and frustration. The fact that so many people are dealing with this same hidden requirement shows how broken the system really is. Going to bookmark this thread for reference when I have to call DEO back after registering!
I'm in the exact same boat! Filed on March 29th and have been stuck with that mysterious "pending issue" for over 7 weeks now. Reading this thread is both infuriating and relieving - infuriating because of how poorly this requirement is communicated, but relieving to finally know what's been holding up my payments! I've literally called DEO every single day for the past month and either couldn't get through or got disconnected. The few times I did reach someone, they just said "there's a pending issue" but couldn't tell me what it was. I'm registering with EmployFlorida right now and making sure to complete every single section mentioned here. @Mei-Ling Chen we should definitely keep each other updated on our progress - misery loves company, right? Thank you @Omar Hassan for posting this, you ve probably'helped dozens of people who are lurking here with the same problem!
This is absolutely maddening! I'm a new filer (just submitted my claim last week) and reading through all of these experiences has me terrified that I'm going to run into the same wall. I had NO IDEA about the EmployFlorida requirement - like everyone else here, there was nothing obvious in the CONNECT application that made this seem urgent or mandatory. I'm registering right now before I even wait to see if there's a problem with my claim. It's honestly shocking how many people are getting trapped by this same hidden requirement. The fact that DEO reps themselves don't always know about the connection between the systems is just beyond comprehension. How is this legal?? They're essentially withholding benefits because of a registration requirement that they barely mention and certainly don't emphasize. Going to complete the full EmployFlorida registration today (profile, resume, skills assessment, work history - everything mentioned in this thread) and then probably call DEO to make sure everything is linked properly. Thank you all for sharing your experiences - this thread should be pinned at the top of this community because clearly TONS of people are running into this same trap.

UPDATE: You all are amazing! I tried emailing DEO.Escalations@deo.myflorida.com with my claim ID in the subject line like suggested. Got a response in 2 days saying they could see my employer hadn't responded to their inquiry about my separation reason. They sent another request to my employer and told me to check back in a week if nothing changes. I also used Claimyr to get through on the phone (after trying for weeks on my own with no luck). The agent confirmed what the email said and also added notes to my account about the layoff documentation I submitted. She said once my employer responds or the waiting period expires (10 business days), they should be able to process my adjudication. Thank you all for the help! I'll update again when this is finally resolved.

•Great news! The DEO system is frustrating but sometimes just getting to the right person can make all the difference. Hoping your adjudication gets completed soon!

•this is why i hate the DEO so much!!! why should it take all this effort just to get someone to look at your claim?? the whole system is designed to make people give up! glad you're making progress tho

I'm dealing with the exact same issue right now! My claim has been in adjudication for 6 weeks and I tried emailing about 8 different agent addresses I found from old posts - every single one bounced back. It's so frustrating that they changed everything without any notice to claimants who are already struggling. I'm definitely going to try the DEO.Escalations@deo.myflorida.com email that everyone mentioned. Can someone clarify what exactly should go in the subject line? Should it be something like "Claimant ID [my number] - Adjudication Issue" or more specific than that? Also super interested in trying Claimyr since the phone system has been impossible. I've called probably 50+ times over the past few weeks and either get a busy signal or sit on hold for 3+ hours before getting disconnected. At this point I'm willing to try anything to get through to an actual human who can help. Thanks for sharing all this info - this community is literally the only place I've found useful guidance on navigating this broken system!

•For the subject line, I'd recommend being very specific like "Claimant ID [your number] - Adjudication Pending 6 Weeks - Separation Issue" or whatever your specific pending issue is. The more details you can fit in the subject, the better chance it gets routed to the right person quickly. I had great success with Claimyr too when I was in a similar situation. The phone system is absolutely brutal to navigate on your own - I was getting disconnected after hours of waiting multiple times. With Claimyr, I got connected to an agent in under 15 minutes who could actually see what was happening with my claim. Their video demo really does show exactly how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj One tip: when you do get through to someone (either via email response or phone), ask them to explain exactly what documentation they need from you and what the next steps are. Sometimes the adjudication is waiting on something simple that you can provide right away. Good luck - you're on the right track!
