Someone tried to file a unemployment claim before me last year but couldn't finish it because they had to do If verify me. When I filed my claim I had to verify my identity which I did and when I log in says my claim has been processed please look out for my edd account number in 2 weeks it's been over a month. So I called edd and they told me the address don't match with what I provided. So they mailed my edd account number to address on file which is whoever attempted to file claim before me. I filed a fraud claim online left several messages with the fraud dept have got nothing. I keep getting hungup on now for 2 days. All I need is my edd account number so I can finish ui registration to certify but they wont give it to me because of the address.

I tried getting my edd account number over the phone but they wont give it to me because the address I tell them does not match with the address they have on file. How can I get around that. When I did id verify me I used my address and was verified but they have a address on file whoever tried to file my claim before me

Then I would try to speak with another tier 2 because every answer and help is different by each edd agent. However, if you already tried more than once or if you don't want to do, I would advise you to contact an assembly member for help. Because you already filed a fraud to edd fraud department.

http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov go this site and find your local assembly member. They are also here to handle edd claim issues. I emailed them with my identity issue and they replied me in 3 days.
