I had the same issue recently! After trying several methods mentioned here, what finally worked for me was calling the EDD technical support line at (833) 978-2511 instead of the main UI line. They were able to help me retrieve my number much faster than the regular unemployment line. Also, if you have any old EDD correspondence (letters, emails, or even text messages), your might be listed there - I found mine on an old determination letter I had saved. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for sharing the technical support number! I've been struggling with this for weeks and didn't know there was a separate tech support line. I'm definitely going to try calling (833) 978-2511 tomorrow. Also great tip about checking old correspondence - I completely forgot I might have saved some EDD letters from when I first applied. Really appreciate you taking the time to share what worked for you!
I've been struggling with this same issue for weeks! After reading through all these suggestions, I'm going to try the technical support line at (833) 978-2511 that Lourdes mentioned - that sounds like it might be more direct than the main UI line. I also checked my old paperwork and found some EDD letters from when I first applied, so I'm going to look through those for my EDDCAN. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions - it really helps to know I'm not alone in dealing with this frustrating process!
I'm in the exact same boat as you! Been trying to get my for over a month now. The regular phone lines are impossible to get through to. I'm definitely going to try that technical support number (833) 978-2511 that Lourdes shared - sounds like it might actually work better than the main line. Also going to dig through my old mail to see if I have any EDD letters saved somewhere. It's so frustrating that something this basic is so hard to get, but at least we have some new options to try now. Let me know if the tech support line works for you!
I had this exact same problem last month and was going crazy trying to find my EDDCAN! What finally worked for me was actually logging into my UI Online and checking under "Profile" - sometimes the number shows up there even if you can't see it elsewhere. Also, if you've ever received any EDD debit card mailings, the is usually printed on those letters too. Another trick I learned is to try the "Forgot Password" option on the UI Online login page - it sometimes displays partial info including your during the recovery process. Hope one of these methods helps - I know how frustrating this search can be!
Thanks for the additional tips Luis! I never thought to check the Profile section in UI Online - that's really smart. I'm definitely going to try that along with the "Forgot Password" trick you mentioned. It's amazing how many different places our might be hiding! Between your suggestions and the technical support line that Lourdes shared, I feel like I finally have some solid options to try. Really appreciate everyone sharing what worked for them - this community is so helpful when dealing with EDD issues!
I've been dealing with this same frustrating issue for the past few weeks! After reading through everyone's suggestions, I'm planning to try multiple approaches. First, I'll that technical support line at (833) 978-2511 that Lourdes mentioned - it sounds way more promising than the main UI line that never picks up. I'm also going to check my UI Online profile section like Luis suggested, and dig through any old EDD mail I might have saved. It's crazy how hard it is to find something as basic as your own number, but I'm grateful for all the different methods people have shared here. The option didn't work for me either, so having these alternative approaches gives me hope. Thanks everyone for taking the time to share what worked - this community support makes dealing with EDD so much less stressful!
I'm so glad I found this thread! I've been having the same nightmare for over two weeks now. Maxwell, I'm going to follow your multi-approach strategy too - it makes so much sense to try several methods at once rather than getting stuck on just one that isn't working. The technical support line at (833) 978-2511 definitely sounds like the most promising lead, and I had no idea about checking the Profile section in UI Online. I'm also going to try that "Forgot Password" trick Luis mentioned since I've got nothing to lose at this point. It's honestly ridiculous that finding our own number is this complicated, but at least we're all helping each other figure it out. Thanks to everyone who shared their solutions - this is exactly the kind of community support we need when dealing with EDD's confusing system!
I just went through this same struggle a couple weeks ago! What ended up working for me was a combination of approaches. First, I called the technical support line at (833) 978-2511 that others mentioned - they were actually helpful and much easier to reach than the main UI line. While I was waiting for that call, I also logged into my UI Online and found my in the Profile section under details - it was just sitting there the whole time! I also discovered it was on an old EDD letter I had stuffed in a drawer from when I first applied months ago. My advice is to try multiple methods at once rather than getting stuck on just one approach. The site didn't work for me either, but between checking old paperwork, the UI Online profile, and calling that tech support number, I finally got my sorted out. Don't give up - there are definitely ways to find it even when the obvious methods fail!
Ethan, thank you so much for sharing your success story! It's really encouraging to hear that the technical support line at (833) 978-2511 actually worked for someone. I've been stuck on this search for days and was starting to lose hope. Your multi-approach strategy makes total sense - I'm going to try calling that tech support number first thing tomorrow morning, then check my UI Online profile section while I wait, and also dig through my old mail pile. It's such a relief to know that other people have actually solved this problem using these methods. I had no idea the might be hiding in the UI Online profile section this whole time! Thanks for giving me renewed hope that I can actually get this figured out without having to wait on hold forever on the main EDD line.
I just wanted to add another method that worked for me recently - if you have the EDD mobile app installed on your phone, sometimes your shows up in the settings section even when it's not visible on the desktop version of UI Online. Also, if you've ever used direct deposit for your benefits, check your bank statements for EDD deposits - sometimes the is included in the transaction description. I know how incredibly frustrating this whole process is, but don't give up! Between all the methods everyone has shared here (the technical support line, checking UI Online profile, old correspondence, and these additional spots), there are so many places it might be hiding. The fact that multiple people have successfully found their using these approaches gives me confidence that one of them will work for anyone dealing with this issue!
Great additional tips Ravi! I never thought about checking the EDD mobile app or looking at bank statement transaction descriptions - those are really creative places to look. I'm dealing with this same issue right now and have been feeling so overwhelmed by all the dead ends. Reading through everyone's suggestions here has been incredibly helpful - between the technical support line at (833) 978-2511, checking the UI Online profile section, looking through old EDD mail, trying the mobile app, and even checking bank deposits, I feel like I finally have a comprehensive list of places to search. It's amazing how this community has come together to solve what should be a simple problem but has turned into such a nightmare for so many of us. I'm going to try all these methods systematically until I find my EDDCAN. Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences!
I just successfully found my after struggling for over three weeks! Reading through all these helpful suggestions, I decided to try the systematic approach everyone recommended. The technical support line at (833) 978-2511 was a game changer - I got through in about 20 minutes compared to hours of waiting on the main line. They were able to look up my immediately and even helped me reset my UI Online access. While waiting for that call, I also checked my UI Online profile section and sure enough, it was there under details - I just never knew to look there! I also found it on an old award letter from when I first applied that was buried in my paperwork. Don't give up - there are so many places your might be hiding that you haven't thought to check yet. Thanks to everyone in this thread for sharing their solutions - this community support made all the difference!

I'm new to this community and have been struggling with finding my for over three weeks now! This thread has been incredibly helpful - I had no idea there were so many different approaches to try. The site didn't work for me either, so I'm really grateful to see all these alternative methods. I'm definitely going to try the technical support line at (833) 978-2511 that multiple people have mentioned having success with - it sounds so much better than the main UI line that I can never get through on. I'll also check my UI Online profile section and dig through my old EDD mail. It's amazing how this community has crowdsourced solutions that EDD should really be providing upfront. Thank you to everyone who shared what worked for them - having multiple options gives me real hope that I can finally get this resolved!
