EDD referral bonuses? Is this a thing or am I confused?
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows about referral bonuses for EDD assistance services? I heard there might be some programs that offer discounts or rewards for referring others. Has anyone had experience with this or know of any legit offers?

I haven't heard of any official referral programs for EDD services. Most of them are pretty strict about how they operate. Maybe you're thinking of some third-party service?

Yeah, I think OP might be confusing this with some private companies that help with EDD claims. Those sometimes have referral programs, but be careful with those!

True dat. Gotta watch out for scams these days. EDD itself def doesn't do referrals lol

I found a method to get someone on the phone at EDD. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Wow, that sounds interesting. How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me days of trying to get through. Worth every penny imo.

Bruh, EDD ain't handing out referral bonuses 🤣 They can barely handle their own system, let alone some fancy referral program lmao

I think you might be mixing things up. EDD doesn't offer referral bonuses, but some job search websites or unemployment assistance programs might. Can you give more details about what exactly you're looking for?

Oh man, I think I totally misunderstood something I saw online. Thanks for clarifying!

Guys, be careful with any 'referral' stuff related to EDD. There are a lot of scams out there trying to take advantage of people who are already struggling. Always double-check official sources!

Yep, my cousin almost got caught up in one of those. They promised to 'speed up' his claim for a fee. Total BS.

Instead of looking for referral bonuses, focus on getting your claim sorted out properly. Make sure all your docs are in order and keep calling until you get through. It's a pain, but it's the best way to handle things.

This is solid advice. Took me weeks of calling, but I finally got my issue resolved. Persistence is key!
